Main goal
The goal of the project was to implement a Single Sign-On (SSO) system and an Identity and Access Management (IAM) layer, together providing secure, centrally controlled access to B2B systems. The solution enables effective management of user identities, permissions, and authentication processes.
CENTRALIZED ACCESS MANAGEMENT (IAM)
Enabling control over user permissions across B2B systems based on data from multiple source systems.
SECURE AUTHENTICATION AND PASSWORD POLICIES (SSO)
Deploying a centralized login policy together with modern authentication methods.
ROLE AND PERMISSION MANAGEMENT (IAM)
Providing an interface for assigning roles and granting permissions to individual users and groups.
SINGLE SIGN-ON (SSO)
Introducing a mechanism that allows access to multiple applications through a single login.
IDENTITY LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT (IAM)
Ensuring full lifecycle management of identities — from provisioning to deprovisioning – across integrated systems.
ACTIVITY AUDITING AND MONITORING (SSO)
Logging user and administrator actions, and generating security reports and audit trails.
ABOUT
THE CLIENT
Deployment process
Following intensive analytical workshops, key documents were produced including the Platform Technical Design and the Low-Level Design (LLD) Architecture. In the next phase, our task was to deploy the system in the Inter Cars environment. After delivering and installing the system, we carried out the necessary configuration, parameterization, and customization work to align the software with Inter Cars’ specific requirements. In parallel, both teams were working to prepare for the complex testing phase.
Once the system was formally accepted, comprehensive performance, security, and operational readiness testing began. Both Savangard and the client engaged additional resources to meet the demands of this critical phase. The final stage was the Stabilization Period, during which the implemented system was launched into the production environment.
CHALLENGES
To meet the client’s expectations, we engaged an additional WSO2 support team. After several weeks of optimization and testing, we successfully achieved a stable throughput of 200 logins per second, along with all throughput and concurrent login requirements across all active markets.
FINAL
RESULT
Success factors
Key benefits for the customer after project implementation.
200 LOGINS PER SECOND
The system achieved the required scalability, confirmed through performance testing.
0 FAILURES POST-DEPLOYMENT
High system stability replaced the previous pattern of regular outages, which had been occurring an average of twice per week.
28 INTEGRATED APPLICATIONS
The new system was successfully integrated with 28 B2B applications used by Inter Cars.
